Evan Dimas became an Indonesian hero when he met Mauritius in a trial match on Tuesday (9/11) this afternoon. With his goal in the final minutes of the match, the Garuda Forces
managed to win 1-0.
Playing in front of his
loyal supporters, Indonesia began trying to launch attacks from the very
beginning. The Garuda squad is trying to take full advantage of the field in
order to break the defense of Mauritius.
When the match ran 11
minutes, Indonesia managed to get a dangerous opportunity through Hansami Yama.
Unfortunately his shot after getting a pass from Irfan Jaya in the penalty box
failed to be utilized properly.
Although playing as a
guest, Mauritius can still pose a threat to Indonesia's goal. In the 12th
minute, Jocelyn Mervin and Noel Gary launched a shot that was well saved by the
goalkeeper, Awan Setho.
Mauritius is still
continuing to storm the Indonesian defense, and again has to make Awan Setho
work hard. In the 17th minute, the Bhayangkara FC goalkeeper successfully drove
the pass to Noel Gary which could create a dangerous threat to his goal.
After a series of attacks
from Mauritius, Indonesia finally regained control of the match. When the match
went 30 minutes, Evan Dimas conducted an experiment by utilizing Stefano
Lilipaly's bait. Unfortunately the shot can still be well anticipated by the
opponent goalkeeper.
The opportunity again was
created seven minutes later. Febri Hariyadi who got a cross from Boaz Solossa
failed to convert it into a goal after his shot just soared above the crossbar.
Various attempts were
made by Indonesian national team players to break the opponent's goal. But
until the referee blew a break, the 0-0 draw still remained.
Entering the second round,
Indonesia again launched a barrage of attacks. Unfortunately, there are not
many opportunities created in the early minutes because the game scheme is
still not working well.
New dangerous opportunities
can be created in the 54th minute. Boaz received a cross from Febri Hariyadi
who ran along the left side. The veteran player tried to fire a weak shot and
could be captured well by the Mauritius goalkeeper.
Lilipaly almost scored! The
61st minute, the Dutch-born player was in a one on one situation with Mauritius
goalkeeper Jean Louis Kevin. But Lilipaly's chances of being successfully
countered well by Kevin.
Lilipaly again spread
threats. Through the free kick scheme, Lilipaly fired a shot that pointed
sharply into the Mauritius goal. But again Kevin became a hero by dismissing
Indonesia's golden opportunity.
Indonesia's efforts
to win continued until the minutes of the match. But Jean-Louis Kevin was still
too strong in keeping his goal. He even resumed his rescue by dismissing a kick
from Ilham Udin in the 89th minute.
But finally Indonesia successfully scored! Before the referee blew a long
whistle, Evan Dimas managed to break into Kevin's goal! The Selangor FA player
successfully won the ball from the shot from Dedik Setiawan. The position also
changed 1-0.
Not long after, the
long whistle was sounded by the referee marking the match ended. Indonesia successfully
won the test match this time with a 1-0 score.
