Indonesia One Group With Thailand, Here's the 2017 AFF Cup Draw Results
Indonesian national team to get a tough task in AFF Cup 2018. Joined by
Group B, Skuat Garuda must face the winner of Thai Champion to fight a ticket
to the knockout round.
On Wednesday (2/5) this afternoon, AFF as the highest soccer body in
Southeast Asia held the 2016 AFF Cup drawing at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta. The
lottery will determine the division of the group in the upcoming AFF Cup.
On this occasion, 11 ASEAN countries will be divided into 5 pots. The best
performing nations in the AFF Cup 2014 and 2016 will be declared straight away,
while the bottom two countries namely Timor Leste and Brunei Darussalam must
qualify first.
For the first draw, a draw is made for the qualifying round. In this
lottery will be determined who will host in advance in the qualifying round.
Based on the draw results, were obtained for the qualifying rounds as
follows: Leg 1 Timor Leste vs. Brunei Darussalam and Leg 2 Brunei Darussalam vs
Timor Leste
After the qualifying round, the AFF Committee draws the 2018 AFF Cup group phase.
In this raffle, nine countries with the highest order plus winners from Timor
Leste vs. Brunei Darussalam are in 5 pots, where each pot is made up of two
countries.
The draw starts from Pot 5 and then goes to Pot 4 until finally reaches pot
